Excursions

When your student is involved in an excursion or activity at school which requires payment an invoice is issued by our system. GRADUATION FOR YEAR 6 STUDENTS 2017

We had a great response to the graduation packs again this year, if you forgot to purchase your child’s graduation pack please contact the office immediately. It is our goals each year to have every year 6 attend graduation. This is a big event for our Year 6 students and they are very excited to be the first group to have their graduation in our hall followed by a disco.

.

YEAR 6 BIG DAY OUT

As is our Tradition, our Year 6 students had their “Big Day Out” on Wednesday the 6th of December. They headed to Brisbane’s South Bank Parklands and went to the movies (Son of Big Foot), they had lunch and then a quick swim. This was an exciting day and one that will create many memories for our senior students.

As this is the last newsletter for the year, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and peaceful holiday break. I look forward to seeing you all again in 2018.

Regards

Cheryl Gibson

Outside School HOURS CARE- OSHC

Messages from the Team:

We are now taking bookings for the 2018 school year. Our 2018 enrolment forms are available from our OSHC service located in the school hall at Edens Landing State School and also the school administration office. Children beginning Prep in 2018 are also welcome to attend our service from January 2, 2018. Please contact our team for further enrolment information.

What we’ve been doing:

This term we have started a senior leaders program which encourages our children in grades three and above to demonstrate leadership skills including responsibility, compassion and initiative. We have seen some fantastic demonstrations of leadership with these children assisting and guiding many of the younger children though our fun activities. We are looking forward to continuing to expand this initiative in the coming weeks.

Over the past few weeks, our children have become very interested in our cooking activities. We have even started sharing recipes with some of our children, baking some family favourite’s right here at OSHC. We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions, so please let our team know if you have any tasty recipes you would like to share!

Join us for:

Over the December and January school holidays we will be running our Summer Holiday Club program. We have some very exciting activities planned including a visit from incursion providers Reverse Garbage and an excursion to the cinemas. Booking forms and flyers are available from our service. We will be closing between December 24, 2017 and January 2, 2018.
